Grief Is the Price of Love
Hi, I’m ShaQuana.
But this space? It’s bigger than me.
It’s for you.
This is a safe space for anyone who has lost something they couldn’t put into words.
Maybe it was a person.
Maybe it was a piece of your childhood.
Maybe it was the version of you who didn’t know pain yet.
I created Grief Is the Price of Love in honor of my father, Nathaniel Upshur, who passed away on September 30, 2020, at 11:20 AM—a day before his 62nd birthday.
That moment didn’t just change my life—it birthed my purpose.
🕊️ Why I Created This Space
For years, I carried Grief that had no place to land,
Not just from loss but from trauma, silence, and survival.
This space was born from that pain—but it’s rooted in something more profound:
Love.
Because Grief only exists where love once lived.
Through reflection, writing, and a safe community, I believe we can begin to breathe again.
✨ What You’ll Find Here
A guided grief journal that invites you to reflect, release, and rise
My memoir, Unwanted but Unbroken, where I share my survival story
A growing healing circle for journaling, connection, and emotional restoration
A judgment-free zone to fall apart and begin again
💛 A Sacred Reminder
You are not alone.
You are not too much.
And you are not broken—you are becoming.
Thank you for being here.
This is just the beginning of something beautiful.
